This page explains what Boomeropia collects, what third parties collect when you use this site, and how to reach us about either. The short version: Boomeropia itself collects very little, the third parties involved are limited to the affiliate networks described on the Affiliate Disclosure page, advertisers, sponsors, and ad banner networks.
Scope
This policy covers the website at boomeropia.com. It does not cover the operators, networks, or services that Boomeropia links out to. When you click a link in an article that takes you to a tour operator’s site, a cruise line’s site, an affiliate network’s redirect, or any other third-party destination, the privacy practices of that destination apply from that point forward, not this one. Boomeropia does not control those sites. A description of the affiliate relationship is on the Affiliate Disclosure page.
What Boomeropia collects directly
Boomeropia does not require a login to read articles. We do not sell subscriptions or memberships. The data Boomeropia itself collects is limited to what the site’s web server captures by default. None of that is sold, rented, or shared.
Boomeropia does not display a comment form on any article, does not solicit comments, and hides the comments block and “Leave a Comment” affordance site-wide. If a comment is somehow posted through a direct URL or a third-party tool that bypasses the theme’s display rule, the comment sits in the moderation queue and is not approved for display. If comments are turned on in a future version of the site, this policy will be updated before the change takes effect.

What third parties collect when you use this site
Boomeropia uses two categories of third-party service that may set cookies or otherwise process information about your visit. The list is short on purpose and is described in full here.
Google Fonts. Boomeropia loads two open-source web fonts, Fraunces and Inter, from Google’s font CDN at fonts.googleapis.com. When your browser fetches a font file from that domain, Google receives your IP address and standard request metadata (browser type, referrer, user agent). The font files themselves are served from fonts.gstatic.com. Google Fonts is a free service; Boomeropia does not pay Google, and Boomeropia does not send Google any user information beyond what the browser’s request to load the font file includes. Google’s handling of these requests is described in its own privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
Affiliate network redirects. When you click a tracked link in a Boomeropia article, the link routes through an affiliate network (or directly to an operator) before you land on the operator’s booking page. The redirect domain, or the operator’s site, may set cookies on your browser that record that you arrived from Boomeropia. If you complete a booking within the program’s cookie window, Boomeropia earns a commission. Boomeropia does not set or read these cookies itself. Boomeropia does not receive personal information about you from the booking. The cookie and tracking behavior is governed by the affiliate network’s privacy policy, not this one. Server logs
Boomeropia’s hosting provider captures standard web-server access logs on every request to the site. These logs include the requesting IP address, the time of the request, the page or resource requested, the HTTP status code returned, the size of the response, the referrer (if any), and the user agent string. Boomeropia uses these logs to operate the site, diagnose outages, defend against abuse, and produce aggregate counts (such as “this article received this many requests today”). Boomeropia does not use the logs to build per-reader profiles, to identify individual readers, or to share data with third parties. Server logs are retained on a rolling basis for a period consistent with the hosting provider’s defaults and are not exported or sold.
What Boomeropia does not do
The list below describes the data practices Boomeropia does not engage in. The list is short on purpose.
- Boomeropia does not build a profile of any individual reader.
- Boomeropia does not collect data it does not need to operate the site.
- Boomeropia does not use the server logs to identify individual readers.
If any of these practices are added in the future, this policy will be updated and the change will be disclosed on this page before it takes effect.
Your rights
The data Boomeropia itself holds about you is, in practice, limited to (a) any email you have sent us and (b) any correspondence we have sent you. We do not hold reader profiles, browsing histories, or analytics data on individual readers.

If your concern is about a third-party service that received your information when you clicked out from Boomeropia, for example a tour operator’s booking site that set cookies on your browser, your request should go to that third party. Boomeropia cannot retrieve or delete data held by a service we do not operate. We will, on request, help you identify the third party involved so you can contact them directly.
Children’s privacy
Boomeropia’s editorial content is written for adult readers planning travel. Boomeropia does not direct content at children under the age of 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information through the contact channel, please notify us through the same contact channel and we will delete the information.
Changes to this policy
Boomeropia reviews this policy on the same quarterly cadence as the rest of the site. Material changes (the addition of a new third-party service that collects data, a change in how Boomeropia handles data it collects, a change in the affiliate network list) are reflected here, dated in the byline, and noted in the article’s Update history. Editorial changes that do not change Boomeropia’s data practices (clarifications, rewording, corrections) are reflected here without a separate announcement.
