Every Feather Down Farm tent is unbelievably spacious and comfortable, with a traditional interior reflecting the honest rural life of yesteryear. And you’ll only ever find the Feather Down Tent on working farms – where the farmer and their family are passionate guardians of the countryside.

The evenings with Feather Down Farm are just like the old days, without distractions, meant for 'stories' and conversations. You can also take the tent light with you outside to enjoy a glass of wine, each other and the most fantastic starry sky that you can imagine (you had forgotten how 'dark' dark could be).

The Feather Down Farm tent is located in a rural area. Always on, nearby or at a nature reserve, country estate of one of the organisations for conservation nature or rural area. Around the Feather Down tent there is a lot of space to move freely. Being crammed together is never the case at a Feather Down Farm. At every tent there is a picnic table, so that everybody can sit outside. The feeling of solidarity, of being together again and especially doing things together. Even if it is just laying the table, cooking together or doing the dishes by hand. There is a lot more conversation than at home.

Hawaii

Nestled amid swaying coconut trees, the Beach Village fronts the double crescent white sand Kaupoa Beach. Forty (40) two-bedroom canvas tentalows amidst relics from the ancient days of a Hawaiian fishing village create a modern-day haven. Each raised platform is complete with Lounge chairs, deck seating, a covered picnic table, and a private open-aired bathroom furnished with full bath amenities.

Each tentalow is solar powered and ecologically designed. Integrating the natural environment with all the amenities of a full service hotel, the Beach Village provides idyllic accommodations. Our local staff provides Hawaiian hospitality and culture as well as full meals generously served in the beach front pavilion.

The island is 38 miles at its longest and 10 miles at its widest. Thus, 100% of the land area is within five miles of the coast. Its 88 miles of coastline include 14 miles of the highest sea cliffs in the world, with heights over 1,000 feet along the rugged eastern section of the north coast of the island. Molokai’s south shore features Hawaii’s most extensive coastal reef system, with offshore reefs stretching over 14,000 acres. Ancient Hawaiians built numerous stone-walled fishponds within this protective reef barrier prior to Western contact, and 74 of these ancient fishponds are still intact.

Southern California

Through the decor and amenities, El Capitan campground resort provides a measure of comfort and pampering-from healthy Saturday night dinners to a variety of wellness treatments. But, we have purposely avoided attempting to duplicate the conveniences of home. Instead, we invite you to step outside into the canyon. Smell the wild sage in the early spring blossoming. Observe the monarch butterflies mud-puddling in the fall. Listen to the frogs all year round. There is something for each season. Feel the ocean breeze, see and hear the rhythmic waves. This is a personal encounter with nature here at El Capitan Canyon resort. Look, marvel, be enlightened. And take home a sense of serenity.

El Capitan Canyon caters to “luxury campers” in the Santa Barbara area with an assortment of the same comfortable accommodations any Santa Barbara hotel can provide. Nestled in historic groves of oak and sycamore trees along El Capitan Creek, cedar cabins and safari tents are grouped in villages called "Stone Pine," "Peace Tree," "Lone Stone" and "Shaded Creek."

Southern California nature lodging near the beach has never been so enjoyable. All accommodations are furnished with willow beds, down-style duvets, western-inspired blankets and casual furnishings.
Perhaps you might prefer to “rough it” slightly in one of our canvas safari tents for a more authentic nature lodging experience.
