Page 5 of 5 JamaicaTryall is located on the shores of the Caribbean Sea, approximately twelve miles west of Montego Bay on the northern coast of the Island of Jamaica. The Plantation consists of 2,200 acres of land, which had been owned by one family for over a century. It is an area of scenic beauty, fronting one and one-half miles of the Sea, and having a wide variety of beautiful trees. The Flint River, fed by springs from the mountains, runs through the plantation for some four miles. Tryall's 18-hole, par-72 championship course was designed by Ralph Plummer and has played host to such prestigious international events as the Johnnie Walker World Championship, last won here by Fred Couples in 1995. The signature par-three 4th hole incorporates the natural challenges of the Caribbean Sea and the Flint River, while the memorable par-four 7th hole provides a dramatic tee-shot through the stone pillars of the historic aqueduct that feeds the adjacent waterwheel. Scattered across the lush hillside and along the shore, Tryall's lovely Estate Villas have private pools, manicured gardens and Tryall's greatest asset a full-time staff to cater to your every need.
