I have been eating at this restaurant for over 10 years. It is one of my favorites in the entire country. The owner, chef, Terry Moore is a dear friend of mine. Each time I see him & enjoy his dishes, my heart is extra happy (and of course so is my appetite!) I sat on this small iron table outside his restored 1797 mill & blacksmith shop this weekend. The birds were singing, I was sipping some wonderful white wine & enjoying his seductive profiteroles. How much better could life be than that…..That evening my friends & I returned to have dinner. We stepped into my favorite room, the tavern area. There is usually a roaring fire in the winter months & always amazing personality bartenders, Andrian or Bill. Ginny is Terry’s right hand….she is always so gracious & watches over the fort when terry is away ( most of his staff have been with him for years & truly adore him). Beth took us to my favorite table, lined with a huge picture window looking out to lovely nature & a stream below. Nancy, who is blonde, funny & likes martinis, (vodka not gin) was our waitress. Sweet Emily helped her with our dining experience. The food is always consistent & yummy. Blondee Favorites: Black bean soup, Iceberg wedge, NY Angus strip steak, any fish dishes, grilled lamb chops & any first course dishes. Rustic & sophisticated describes both this restaurant & the owner. I think Terry & I will have to do a comparison on our profiteroles. It would be a close race, mine possibly a touch more seductive!!!!! Kisses…….Blondee
