BLONDEE FLUTTERING TO CAFE VICO IN FORT LAUDERDALE, FL. 3 Months, 3 Weeks ago
Cafe Vico/ Vico's

This amazing, warm couple, Marco and Eclair deserve every ounce of success they have had through the years at Cafe Vico. I felt like I had know them for years before I even arrive to dine. I walked in with one lovely man on each side of me and started the experience. What a way to begin, right! The feeling is homey, cozy, comfortable. I loved the lights dimming as we sat for three hours, tasting and sipping. Off season, a Sunday evening and the restaurant is full, says it all.
Marco is from Brazil. He and his wife, Eclair have been married for 26 years. The hard work, 18 hours a day does not show looking at them, she is ageless. They have two daughters and ALOT of family. Marco washed dishes and learned everything he could for 15 years. He then opened Cafe Vico in Fort Lauderdale and as they say the rest is history.
The top and the very best wine from his collection was served with each course. Marco said whatever we did not finish he would!
Kisses to Chris, George and Cristiano, all so attentive. Homemade breads, garlic oil mixture that was to die for and his signature salad of organic green, mangos, berries and almonds were our first surprises. The true meatball arrived next, fresh pasta, all handmade and yummy. Entrees were sea bass, veal scalloppini and chicken parmegiano. We had such wonderful treats including lemon Italian sorbet for dessert to finish off our meal.
As I am sitting here , writing this and looking through the menu, I realize I will so look forward to my next visit. This is their passion, their life and how lucky is each person who walks through the front doors of Cafe Vico to have, if just for a moment a part of this old world hospitality.
